How BeautyGrader handles portrait photos, geometric measurements, analysis reports, and account data

Who We Are

This policy describes how BeautyGrader (operated at beautygrader.com) collects, processes, and protects your personal information when you use our facial geometry and aesthetic analysis services.

Portrait Photos & Local Geometric Processing

We prioritize user privacy and minimize data exposure:

  • Client-Side Free Analysis: Basic facial landmark detection and ratio measurements run directly inside your web browser using WebAssembly. In this mode, your photo is processed locally on your device and is not automatically uploaded to our servers.
  • Local Measurement History: Successful free analyses automatically save up to 20 measurement records in the current browser's IndexedDB, including scores, estimated percentiles and simplified measurement lines. No account or manual save is required. These records are not uploaded to the cloud or automatically synced when you sign in. You can delete them using the history controls or clear this site's browser data.
  • Temporary Local Photo Draft: A downscaled photo and its result are saved locally to restore your view after a refresh or sign-in. This draft logically expires two hours after analysis; measurement history does not expire with the photo. Cleanup runs while the page is open or when you visit again. We cannot physically delete browser data while the page is closed or the device is asleep.
  • Comprehensive Image Reports: After you confirm photo processing and request a report, DeepSeek processes photo observations and report text using the necessary photo, measurements, preferences and related report content. Google Cloud generates styling images first; if Google cannot complete image generation, Kie may take over. Both receive the necessary photo and styling instructions. We send images directly to DeepSeek over an encrypted connection; observation requests do not create additional Kie upload copies. Photos, generated images and PDFs stored by BeautyGrader are encrypted and accessed through account or sharing permissions. Necessary analysis-photo copies and reusable results from an undelivered failed report are reusable for 48 hours after its first failure. Under the updated consent, physical cleanup runs in 12-hour batches, normally after about 48–60 hours; outages or backlogs may delay deletion. Earlier consent retains its original cleanup rules. The same account can continue an identical photo and request; viewing or another failure does not extend the deadline. Reuse is disabled at expiry and background cleanup removes the data, retrying service or storage failures rather than guaranteeing deletion to the exact second. You can delete earlier. Ordinary unsubmitted temporary photos retain their existing two-hour limit. Each provider’s processing and retention rules apply to its inputs, outputs and logs; we do not promise zero retention or automatic provider-side deletion when you delete a report here. Kie uploads for image generation return temporary downloadable links. Its published retention periods are 24 hours for uploads, 14 days for generated media and two months for logs and metadata. Anyone holding a temporary link may be able to access that file; our account permissions do not make provider copies fully private. We do not intentionally publish your photos as public examples or use them to train our own models.
  • User Ownership: You retain full ownership of the photos you provide. You must only upload photos of yourself or individuals who have given you explicit consent.

Information We Collect

  • Account Data: When you sign in (via email or OAuth providers such as Google), we store your email address, name, and profile picture to manage authentication and report history.
  • Billing & Transaction Information: If you purchase credits or report packages, payment processors (such as Stripe) handle your payment credentials. We only retain transaction identifiers, package details, and credit balance records.
  • Technical & Security Logs: Standard server logs (IP address, user-agent, error logs) are collected temporarily to ensure website reliability, prevent abuse, and maintain network security.

Data Sharing & Third Parties

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information. We only share necessary data with trusted service providers strictly to deliver our services:

  • Cloud Infrastructure & Storage: Cloudflare, Supabase / AWS for hosting and secure data storage.
  • Payment Processors: Stripe for secure payment handling.
  • Authentication Providers: Google OAuth for optional social sign-in.
  • Report AI Providers: DeepSeek processes observations and text under its privacy policy. Google Cloud generates styling images first, with Kie taking over when Google cannot complete image generation. Google’s processing and retention follow its data governance documentation; we do not promise zero retention. See Kie’s processing and retention information and upload documentation.

Website Analytics & Protection of Analysis Content

We use Google Analytics for general website measurement and Microsoft Clarity for usability analytics, including clicks, scrolling, heatmaps and session replay. These services may use cookies or similar technologies and process page, device and interaction information. Their processing is described in Google's partner-site data notice and Microsoft's Privacy Statement.

Before a selected photo, camera preview or restored local history enters the page, our application disables Google Analytics collection and stops Microsoft Clarity recording. If Clarity has not loaded, it is not started. This protection remains in place for the rest of the current page lifecycle, including client-side navigation; it does not automatically restart when an analysis dialog closes. Previously collected general website visits are not withdrawn by this action.

Photo entry, local history, result and share-card regions are also explicitly masked for Clarity. We do not pass photos, scores, estimated percentiles, facial measurements or measurement coordinates as analytics events, custom identifiers, tags or result URLs. General website analytics is separate from free-analysis storage on your device.

Browser cookie controls can restrict analytics storage; use Google's Analytics opt-out browser add-on where supported. These browser options do not replace the application's protection of analysis content.

Data Retention & Deletion

  • You can delete individual local measurements using the history delete buttons. Deleting the current record also removes its corresponding photo draft. Clearing this site's browser data removes its local records; clearing only the HTTP cache may not remove IndexedDB data.
  • You can request the deletion of your account and associated server records by contacting us at support@beautygrader.com.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any material updates will be reflected on this page with an updated revision date.
